There are a number of local attractions that will be fun for the whole family.   Whether you are looking for recreation or a slower pace, you’ll enjoy your time with us. Hit the links at one of numerous local golf and country clubs. Within a short drive you can golf to your heart’s content at any of the following golf and country clubs:

•        Covered Bridge Golf & Country Club
•        Mars Hill Country Club
•        Aroostook Valley Country Club
•        Woodstock Golf and Curling Club

How about some history?  No visit to the French Fry Capital of the World would be complete without a tour visit of the Potato World Museum.  Can’t get enough of our potato products? Then be sure to visit or tour Covered Bridge Potato Chip Company, where they produce old fashion kettle style chips.  While there, the Longest Covered Bridge In The World is only a short distance away.

We have plenty to offer the active enthusiast as well. The Trans-Canada Trail is located along the Saint John River.  Prefer to hike? Why not try your hand at climbing Mount Carleton or Mount Katahdin, in Maine’s Baxter State Park.  Looking for some white water rafting? Our beds will feel great after a day of tackling the Penobscot River.

For a slower pace, the kids are sure to enjoy feeding the fish at Sam’s Park, or visiting Noah’s Ark Petting Zoo. Be sure to take your time and stroll along Florenceville’s Riverside Board Walk, and enjoy our local talent with Artists on the Boardwalk.  When the temperature rises, the kids are sure to enjoy the Bristol-Florenceville splash pad while the parents enjoy local flavour and charm at the Florenceville-Bristol Market.

Autumn and winter are lovely as well.  Experience the beauty of the fall colors up close and personal on a local zip line tour. For the winter enthusiast, you’ll enjoy the tranquility of our cross-country skiing trails, or perhaps the rush of Big Rock’s downhill skiing.  Travelling by snow sled?  We are conveniently close to Trail Route 44, and a must stop on our overnight excursion, or to warm up with some hearty home cooking.
